Terms
Last updated: 28 September 2026
These terms apply to accommodation and related services booked through Monest Signature Ltd. Sending an enquiry is a request for information, not a booking or a commitment to pay. Before you accept a quote, we give you these terms and the conditions specific to your booking in writing. Please also read our privacy policy.
1. Who we are
Monest Signature Ltd (CAC RC [number]) manages hotel accommodation for companies, groups and visitors in Lagos. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Monest Signature Ltd, and "you" means the person or organisation making the booking.
2. What we do
We buy accommodation from partner hotels at negotiated rates and supply it to you as part of our managed accommodation service. We are your single point of contact: we take your request, send options, confirm the booking, invoice you and help while you stay.
We are not the hotel. The hotel provides the room and the services during your stay. We choose hotels we have checked, but the day-to-day running of the hotel is the hotel's responsibility.
3. Enquiries and quotes
When you send us your details, we reply by WhatsApp or email with options and a total for your dates. Rates in Lagos change with the dates and the season, so we quote the exact total each time rather than publish prices.
Your quote describes the dates, rooms, total, what is included, any extras, the payment conditions, its validity and the applicable change, cancellation and no-show conditions. We explain those conditions before you accept or pay. Availability is not guaranteed until the booking is confirmed.
A booking is made when you accept the quote and its conditions, meet the agreed payment conditions, and we send you written booking confirmation. Sending an enquiry or receiving a quote does not reserve a room.
4. Bookings and confirmation
After you accept and meet the agreed payment conditions, we arrange the room and send written booking confirmation, including the hotel's confirmation in the guest's name. Please check it and tell us straight away if any detail is wrong. It is your responsibility to give us correct names, dates and contact details.
If we cannot confirm the quoted room, we tell you promptly. We only book an alternative if you agree to it. If you have already paid for accommodation that we cannot confirm and you do not accept an alternative, we refund that payment in full, without a cancellation charge.
5. Payment
We take payment by bank transfer to an account named Monest Signature Ltd at [Bank]. Payment is due before check-in unless we agree otherwise in writing. Every booking comes with an invoice and a receipt.
For your safety: we will never ask you to pay a personal account, and we will never change our bank details by message. If anyone asks you to pay anything else in our name, do not pay, and message us on [+234 XXX XXX XXXX] to check first.
6. Changes and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel, message us by WhatsApp or email as soon as possible. The conditions supplied with your quote explain changes, cancellations, no-shows and early departures. They apply only to the extent permitted by Nigerian law and do not override your statutory rights.
You have the right to cancel an advance booking, subject to a reasonable cancellation charge where the law permits one. Any charge must be fair in the circumstances, taking account of the notice given and the opportunity to offer the room to someone else. No cancellation charge applies where the person for whose benefit the booking was made cannot use it because of death or hospitalisation.
We confirm any refund due, the reason for any lawful deduction, the refund method and the expected processing date in writing. We process refunds without undue delay. Waiting for a hotel or another provider does not remove our obligations to you under Nigerian law. If a confirmed stay becomes unavailable, we discuss an alternative with you and explain your refund rights; we do not impose a replacement booking without your agreement.
For group and event bookings, we agree the deposit, the final guest list date, the guest payment deadline and the release date with you in writing before we hold any rooms. Rooms released by the agreed date cost you nothing; after that date, the agreed cancellation conditions apply, subject to your statutory rights.
7. Your stay
The hotel may ask guests for identification at check-in and may set its own house rules. Guests are responsible for their own conduct and for any charge they run up at the hotel, such as extras not included in the booking. If something is wrong during the stay, message us and we will deal with the hotel for you and move guests if needed.
8. Transport and extras
Where you ask, we arrange extras such as airport pickup or a driver, alongside the room. We tell you the total for any extra before you confirm it.
9. Our responsibility
We are responsible for performing our managed accommodation service with reasonable care and for meeting our obligations to you. Hotels and transport providers operate their own services, but using another provider does not remove any responsibility Nigerian law places on us.
If an event outside our reasonable control affects your booking, we tell you promptly, take reasonable steps to reduce its effect and explain the available alternatives and refunds. Your statutory rights continue to apply.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for our fraud or gross negligence, the gross negligence of anyone acting for us or under our control, or any liability or consumer right that Nigerian law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
10. Complaints
If something goes wrong, please tell us as soon as possible so we can put it right. Message us at [hello@monestsignature.com] or on WhatsApp at [+234 XXX XXX XXXX].
11. Data protection
We handle your personal information as described in our privacy policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your booking are the ones in force when you confirm it. When we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes may be brought before Nigerian courts with lawful jurisdiction. Nothing in these terms prevents you from exercising your statutory rights or taking a complaint to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, as applicable.
14. How to contact us
